The Reel Comedy special they did for this movie on Comedy Central is pretty good.
I haven't seen the movie yet but I'm looking forward to it.
I see there's no thread for this. Just got back from it, great parody of Ray and Walk the Line. Good fun, especially if you felt that making a movie with someone pretending to be Johnny Cash was a stupid idea.
The movie covers every musical era since the 50's, and actually manages some competent songs in the various styles.
Lots of ripping sinks out of walls, too.
Clip from the "coke era".

This movie looks awesome. Also has Jack White as Elvis, which is motivation enough to go and see it. I heard Vedder was in it, too. Reilly is a great comedian on top of that, as well.
I'll be terribly disappointed if this movie fails me.

Got a good write up in Maxim, I'm interested.
This was one of the funniest things I've seen in years. It was beautifully paced, had a great cast (filled with 'NO WAY LOOK WHO IT IS' moments), and well-made jokes about musician biography movies.
If you don't see this, I'm going to tear the sink out of your bathroom and cut you in half.
"But what about MY dreams, Dewey?"
"Like having a house made of candy? But... it would melt."
It's a legitimate dream concerning her "age."
Walk the Line blows. You're right to avoid it, as I wish I had.
You should internet-rent Walk Hard, though. I think you'll like it.
The drug scenes with Tim Meadows are worth the price of admission.
