Ramon's going to kill me for this, but I forgot to include Gears of War on my list. I forgot I played it early in the year because of bar study and the gaming binge I went on after the bar. Anyway, it should be between number two, right after Halo 3.
It must be. You're one of Shenmue II's biggest fans here so you probably even own the game.Originally Posted by StriderKyo

Ok, since I already named games from this year I liked in the other thread, I'm going to exclusively list games from before this year that I discovered or re-discovered in this year:
1) Trackmania United: Heard about this series for a while from a friend, and loved the free Trackmania Nations, but wouldn't try the real games until I could do so without Starforce. When it hit Steam earlier this year, I gave it a shot. One of my favorite games I played this year. Too addictive. I uninstalled it when I switched from Vista. I need set it up again.
2) Donkey Kong Jungle Beat: Got this early this year, didn't care for it much, picked up the Bongos more recently and liked it a lot more.
3)Darwinia: I got this along with Defcon and Uplink just recently. I haven't played much Uplink and already had some experience with DEFCON, but Darwinia has been pretty addictive so far.
4)Normality: Old adventure game I never got around to, but always wanted to. Despite the unbelievably annoying voice for the main character, I definitely dug this.
5)Strife: Never played it before, and finally did. I was very impressed.
I could probably list 100 games, but I'll stop there. Those are the big ones that pop into my head.
Ah, Normality. I should give that another try. It seemed pretty cool but I had some issues running it properly before.
I should give Strife another go, too. I didn't get into it previously which surprised me given how much I dig FPS/RPGs.
