    Ecco the Dolphin?

Seriously, from what people are saying about this game, it does remind me of my time with Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future on the Dreamcast. I spent many hours just swimming around and checking out undersea life. Swimming right up to a whale was pretty trippy at the time.

I don't know yet! But there are lots and lots of sea creatures left to find, so I wouldn't doubt it!

I really wish coelacanths could survive in captivity. I know they don't think they are a lot left at all, but I'd really like to see a live one. The only thing I would have liked to see more was that frilled shark they found near Japan. Though, they do have a preserved coelacanth at Harvard! That one is pretty cool too.

This game is even better because nobody asks you to do stupid shit like defend the future.

Yeah, that's why I spent most of my time just swimming around, only completing objectives to open up new areas so I can swim around some more.

I'll probably give this game a shot if I ever pick up a Wii.

  4. i wanna see stuff like megaolodons and basilosauruses. None of those dinosaurs, just huge other things that probably aren't alive anymore.

): as soon as i'm employed i'll get this. like my first paycheck.
    Donk

  5. I can give confirmation on the Coelacanths since I just found one last night. My wife played through all of the "missions" and she loved this game. After she got done with the main story I started taking the boat to new areas and just looking around. I stumbled onto an abandoned pirate ship that took me to a sunken graveyard. It was easily the coolest part of the game. It was just a super cool experience.

Has anyone here played this and Everblue 2 and if so can you compare them? I'm thinking about hunting that down for my wife so she can keep up her undersea gaming fix if it is good.

I'm wondering about this, too. I didn't care for Everblue 2 or Aquanaut's Holiday but I liked Finny the Fish as far as underwater exploration games go.
