The 2 books are collected into 1 volume if you go looking in Barnes & Nobel. It's neat. I look forward to seeing the film.

I hope this comes to Australia.
Quick zephyrs blow, vexing daft Jim.
I've been looking forward to it as well. The only negative review i've read comments on how simple the art style is, from which i can only imagine it's from an incompetent critic. Stupid critic, YORE the one who is truly stupid, with yore shenanigans and tomfoolery and using words like a coked up Jackson Pollock given a typewriter.

Really, is The New Yorker always that much bullshit?

I gasp in awe at Miffy's simplicity.

Did New Yorker want them to add crosshatching or something? That's stupid, it looks like the graphic novel.
Heavy stylization's often harder to pull off than something extremely detailed. There's precision involved.

The animation doesn't impress me in terms of style or production value, if we're being honest.
That said it looks like it's supposed to look, and I want to see this. I'd never heard of it before this thread.
the style makes me think of something like futurama. simple and not trying to do anything fancy but everthing looks correct in terms of anatomy.
Well, no, i don't think you're supposed to be amazed with the animation. I think the style is beautiful, but i understand and accept i'm in a minority. I'm just getting a lot of disdain from that review, and it just seems like plain conceited ignorance. i think there's a word for that that i'm too tired to remember.

Yeah, judging animation solely on the merits of the ambition of its art is kind of missing the point, especially in this post-Simpsons era.
