Thread: Super Ultra Street Fighter 4 Turbo Alpha Gold Championship Edition'

  1. Who's up for some replays tonight, I found an awesome one of a Fei Long wrecking a Bison with the counter Ultra, it's very fucking satisfying to see that shit.

Also the best taunt with Juri is doing her Pinwheel over and over again.

"HAHA, HAHA, HAHA, HAHA, HAHA, HAHA, HAHA, HAHA, HAHA, HAHA, HAHA, HAHA"

  2. Your online stats do matter for tournament purposes.

  3. So what's up with this game? Thief Silver still suck?

  4. He's better than I am. I just know Theory Fighter.

Also this one Abel was doing the most insane stuff I ever saw in this game. He would hit you and roll back and forth 3 times hitting you each time before you could touch the ground. After that he did all these focus cancel combos. Complete nerd shit. And I got it saved on replay.
Abel's resets are really cool looking but they aren't practical if:
    a) your opponent knows how to block, or
    b) your opponent has reversal DP

after the launch and reset (cr.LP or cr. MK), no further damage is guaranteed. The Abel player can try to mix you up and go for a relaunch (which can be blocked if you react to it) or a tornado grab (which loses to dragon punches).
Of course, the Abel player can do nothing after the reset in order to bait a reversal DP and punish that hard.
In competitive play you'd rarely see Abel resets it because strong players know how to counter it. Most Abels would prefer the guaranteed damage + untechable knockdown from a falling sky after a launch.

fuck i miss playing playing abel
Adon and Mak are too fun though

  6. Yikes. My brain nearly exploded reading that. Thanks for the explaination tho. The people in the room fighting the Abel player, me included, were clueless to what was going on. The dude was cleaning house.

you got any vids of your Mak?
NowPlaying: Battlefield series . DarkSouls . MGS collection . Cap+SNK fighters . AceCombat series . ArmoredCore series

  7. It's pretty easy to look awesome when you're wrecking noobs who don't know their characters "get off me!" move.

  8. Anyone down for some games in the very near future?

    yeah, but i'm garbage

  10. Holy cow, Hakan is a LOT of fun once you start gettin' him greasy. Try not to imagine the accumulated grit after a match, though!

His ducking HP seems ok anti-air, and he's got a few tricks for getting distance on the opponent so you can oil up more. Ultra 1 is about as easy to hit as Final Atomic Buster ('specially when greased up), haven't figured out Ultra 2, but I feel like it's a little too dependent on the other guy jumping around like an idiot.

How am I supposed to use EX slide, exactly? Anti-air?

Bookie's penguin kick can combo into her super on block, that is so nice.
