Well, after like 2 days of not playing I figured I'll turn on the console to play some Geometry Wars 2. I see there is a little update to download..ok..downloading..restart..there is the dashboard.. IT FROZE!

ok..lets try this again..freezes again! Plays 1942..freezes with a checkerboard pattern! I guess the update bricked my 360. Wonderful.

Xbox 360 #3...may you rest in peace.

Of course I'm out of warranty..it expired 2 months ago. LOL Just great.

Microsoft..may you rot in hell.

edit: Now I get the good ol' red ring of death. LOL At least I now have confirmation that its dead.

Yeah if there's anything worse than a dead 360, it's a dead 360 without a red ring.

I've been seeing a lot of update caused dead systems in the forums I frequent. Some RR, some not. Weird how a software update causes a general hardware fault.
