Thread: Official Xbox 360 Thread

  1. HDMI cables are so cheap there is really no reason not to use it if you can. And if you're going to get a 1080p set, it's totally worth it.

  2. go to monoprice and order a hdmi cable, they are literally a dollar

  3. I've been trying to sign on to Xbox Live and it keeps saying my IP address fails. I can get on the internet fine with my laptop, though. How do I fix this problem?

You might have to disable Universal Plug N Play on your router.

If you set up the 360 manually did the network settings get reset somehow?

  6. go to the network blade and make it run the xbox live tests, that should fix it.

How will that fix it? It'll just tell him he has an IP problem. It's not a diagnostic. It just tells if you can connect or not.

You can get $1 joints off the TNL store too.

Yes it is. It runs through all the network settings, basically rebooting the whole thing. If I ever have a network problem, running that or the media PC link diagnostic will reset whatever it freaked out over and be good as new. Sometimes it'll fail on one the steps but just making it test again will fix it.
