Thread: Official Xbox 360 Thread

  1. I ditched my Millenium Digital Cable/Broad Stripe internet connection and got hooked up with a fantastic Verizon DSL connection (still waiting on FIOS).

In related news, I have the week off.

Send me game invites, I am officially lag and work free!

  2. Does Verizon DSL not suck huge amounts of ass? All the DSL connections I've come in contact with have barely been better than dial-up.

I'm on Verizon DSL. Not as good as cable, but it's plenty fast. Hell of a lot better than dial up for sure.

Finally got a new 360 to replace my busted one. The thing doesn't make a sound UNTIL I put a disc in the drive. Then it's a jet that can't clear the runway. Why the hell is the drive so loud? HD-DVD drive doesn't make near this much noise.

  5. So I sent out my original 360 today (bought a Halo 3 edition after it kicked the bucket for HDMI support). I dropped it off at a mail place and the dude says to me "I feel your pain, red rings of death?"

I'd used SBC DSL about 3 years ago. It worked okay for Xbox Live, with a connection of around 1.5M/256K. It did have its moments of slow time though.

I've had Verizon Fios for about 2 years now. It's incredibly reliable.

    Fiber tends to do that.

    So does a good hub/source.
