I just bought a new 360 since my old one only plays a short time before locking up and/or shutting off. (The display gets a checkerboard pattern and the colors desaturate.) I bought a core system for $279.99 (no sales tax and free overnight shipping was a pretty damn sweet deal) and switched over my hard drive. Now I have a quieter console, I hope a more reliable one, and an HDMI connection.
I'm pretty happy overall, but two other Xboxes I know of have also recently gone on the fritz. I'm giving my new one its own table with plenty of breathing room around it. The only thing I'm worried about is that the system might get jolted a bit during Dance Dance Revolution.
Is jumping around something I should worry about, as far as damaging the console? I really don't want to spend another penny on repairing or replacing the hardware, and I've been ripped off already.
