You're all Wife beating tax evasionists!

But I do think that thing was actually just a ploy to make people think he's talking about them when he's talking about Joe the Plumber.

  4. Good for them. Fuck the polls, I don't want Obama supporters getting confident. As long as no one cooks the polls on Nov 4, I'm happy.

Isn't this is a bad thing for McCain (not that he has a chance to win anyway)? If the perception is the race is close then all the people who may have sat at home thinking the race is in the bag for Obama will now be mobilized.

  6. Which sounds fucking great to me. I'm starting to get a sense Fox is trying to throw McCain under the bus, as counter-intuitive as that might sound.

I mean, consider this: all that Acorn/Ayers shit they've been spewing for months now? None of that bullshit is moving the needle on undecideds, and has probably served to turn a lot of 'em off of the McCain camp. See: MSNBC ratings lately. Intentionally or no, I think they're having a negative effect on McCain's campaign. Nevermind Backwards B Day.

Well, no, showing McCain narrowly behind as opposed to hopelessly behind isn't going to leave people feeling confident he can win without their vote.

That said, more important than the outcome of the elections (for Fox) is that it's good for ratings. No one likes to watch a blowout.

    a. fox doesn't give a shit about who wins, they give a shit about who watches fox, and i'd bet they will try to drum up a challenge based on acorn if the election is close or if they can pretend it was close

    b. mccain turnout would be depressed more than obama turnout if an obama landslide is perceived

    c. even if mccain is done republicans need republican voters to vote local elections

First of all, personal attacks are not permitted in Sound Off. Kindly refrain from such future outbursts.

As for your attack on my position, why do you feel that way? Do you believe the Iraq War is good for America?

In other news, it's official. Biff is responsible for the most monstrous of all threads.

    Congratulations, man.

  10. It's not a matter of the war being "good", it's a matter of getting out of the fucking thing in a way that doesn't make everyone sitting around the tower yell JENGA!*
