We're too busy finding new ways to recycle and grow primo weed (so I'm told).
But really, would you rather buy tickets to something standing in line or just going on line? Same deal.
Although I did like being around fellow voters but then that's what election parties are for.

Here's my problem with making it too easy. People who wouldn't take the time to go stand in line but would vote via mail or the internet or whatever are the same people who wouldn't spend a few hours researching the issues to make themselves informed before they vote. That violates a basic assumption of democracy and should be prevented.
are not the same as
We get these huge voters' "pamphlets" in the mail that detail every issue, with arguements for and against every issue. And the time I could be waiting in line, I spent researching every candidate/ballot measure as I got to it. The two of us filled them out at the same time, talking over our votes just the same as any one else would before they went to vote. How can you presume what people are going to do with the time?people who wouldn't spend a few hours researching the issues to make themselves informed before they vote
So you're basically talking out our ass, which makes sense since you're full of shit!![]()

I went around 9 this morning because I assumed that most people in my area (lol college kids) would be voting later. I didn't have to wait long at all; five minutes, maybe. In the voting register book it looked like at least half of the people voted before today, based upon the amount of "VOTED" stamps vs. signatures.
