I'm a little on the edge about this one...
The first and most obvious change in the series is Apollo himself. Many people say that he acts like a younger more inexperienced Phoenix, but will he still be right for the role?
Psyche Locks are gone. Some new system is being implemented that I've purposelessly kept myself in the dark about. I do know that it involves zooming in at a character and looking for a subtle tick to see when they're lying.
I'm also interested as to how they're going to work in new investigation techniques utilizing the touch screen. I've seen 3D crime scenes that you can investigate and footprint mold casters.
The story also seems to be quite a roller coaster ride... I've heard that the first case of this game probably has more shocking revelations than any other. It really sets things off with a bang.
The early release date may be a mixed blessing... Although they are able to localize the games in the span of a few months, the games only come out about once every two years. This early release date might leave Ace Attorney fans in the lurch for a bit...
But! I am hopeful and eager to play it. Four new cases of fun.
Oh, and there are whispers of there being a flash demo on Capcom Unity and the official Ace Attorney website sometime this month. It's probably a translated version of the Japanese demo that was released before the game came out in Japan. It was a sliver of the first case, only the intro and a little cross-examination.
