This movie rocked. The physics were God damn hilarious (as they should have been).
Exactly how fast does a helicopter engine cool down? Instantly apparently.
Following the ever-popular "convection conschmection" trope, you can dodge the flames inside a tiny crematorium and come out just fine. By the way, I guess Hannibal somehow survived the autopsy before he got to the oven.
The falling tank battle. Just, everything about it.
Lol @ the 8 tiny air bags making that container float. The air in the container itself dwarfed the airbags so badly that they could have strapped 8 lead weights to the side instead with the same result.
And speaking of containers: I suppose the only thing preventing your average container from exploding is the buoyancy of the boat it rests on. *bazooka hits bottom of ship. Pause. Containers on top of ship explode. 2 minutes pass. Ship sinks more. Assload of containers explode*
Also: B.A. dodging the container avalanche = lol win.
3D movie in insane asylum = lol epic win.
But this movie was exactly what it should have been. The only actor that seemed miscast was Face. The other 3 nailed it. Yeah, B.A. was an entirely different B.A., but having somebody imitate Mr. T. would have been unwatchable.
ya, the more you think about it the more it falls apart, but there is no need to think about it so its all good. for EXAMPLE they are in Germany when they make the call to Chickie to meet in LA, they take a prop plane to meet a cargo ship, and supposedly get to LA 48 hours later? What?
Saw this last night and found it incredibly entertaining.
The only thing I thought wasn't handled well was Bosco's development of a conscience. There really should have been more scenes where he was unable to physically harm anyone and had to come up with an alternative strategy to save himself. It's not like he had many awesome beat-em-up moments in the film to begin with. Plus, this would have made the moment where he decides to be Bad Ass again a lot more satisfying (him knocking that dude's head against the ground was awesome, but would have been more satisfying if you had already been anticipating him getting violent again; the way it was handled, with him only briefly developing a conscience, made me not care).
Saw this last night.
Here it is, proof that I don't hate EVERY movie that comes out. Of course it wasn't perfect, but it pulled all the right nostalgic strings for me.
I sat through the whole thing expecting some kind of cameo from the original guys and didn't see one. Then in the credits I saw Dirk Benedicts name listed. I gotta got see who he was.
Fuck.
When the bluray hits I'll have to keep my eye out for Pensacola Prisoner Milt and German Doctor #1.
Also: I had no idea Murdoch was a video game voice over dude. Cool.
