so far an hour into single player, AWESOME!

It blows the first one out of the water, this game is polished to near perfection. Controls and gameplay A+.

i also created the TNL clan, "TNL" and our tag is "RF"

I should be getting this in the mail tomorrow. The first Resistance is one of my favorite games this gen...so hopefully I can get into the online play for this second game

This game is awesome. I may actually beat this even before Gears 2 is released and I rarely beat games nowadays. The environments are awesome, no longer dominated by drab and gray like in the first game. The graphics are incredible. Insomniac changed the health system from the first game, making it a bit easier in that regard, but that's about the only bad thing I can say about this game (aside from some graphical glitches which seem to be the norm nowadays). This game is markedly better than the first.

i JUST realized they changed the life system, im so used to every game doing the same life system, i totally forgot R1 had the life system of old, with a meter.

I just completed the Single Player campaign, and it was officially awesome from start to finish. I agree with Gooch as well. The environments in this game were all top notch, and a vast improvement over the gray and brown World War II setting of the first game.

My only real complaint is that the single player was rather short. I seem to remember the first Resistance being a much longer game....maybe this game was just so much better that the time flew by faster

I really need to try out the online multiplayer now. Hopefully I'll be able to play some of you online.

Is anybody having trouble downloading the update for this game. Everytime I try to go online, it says I need to update the Resistance Software to the latest version. I try to update it, but the progess bar never goes past 1%. Is this a problem with my internet connection? Or have you guys had trouble too? This upsets me, because I loved the single player and I want to give online play a try.

EDIT - I had no problems installing the latest PS3 update too. Its just the Resistance update that isn't doing anything.

Maybe try deleting the game file on your hd and installing again?
