Agreed completely. Though I thought Resistance's multiplayer was all around mediocre. I have a feeling the second games multiplayer is going to live and die with the execution of the 60 player battles since the game was never a super deep and strategic FPS. We will see, I gave the first game a fair chance and despite a ton of flaws, I ended up enjoying the SP mode a whole lot. Hopefully this one will be the same without the flaws and a deeper MP experience.

    Eat a bag of dicks.

  2. Im excited to see what the advantages and disadvantages of the races are going to be this time (they arent implemented in the version they showed to the media). 30v30 is going to be nuts, so hopefully the class system and objective skirmishes will take it beyond just mindless shooting, and more of people working together depending on their job.

With the SP in 1 i am not worried about the SP in this one, and am excited to how deep and how team work focused the 8player co-op campaign is going to be like.

  3. lol. Take it beyond mindless shooting? What do you think 30 v 30 means?

  4. I loved the first Resistance and part 2 will complete the quartet of big name 2008 releases for me (NG2, MGS4, GoW2, R2). From what I've seen so far of R2, I am not fearing disappointment.

  6. So far I haven't been impressed at all, it looks just like the first game. A perfectly servicable if unremarkable shooter. Nothings changed, I don't see any substantial changes or improvements to multi at all. Looks just like one big cluster fuck, I thought insomniac could bring some new ideas to the genre, but that hasn't been the case at all. If anything Resistence felt like a FPS from ten years ago, looks like 2 will be too.

  7. the multi was apparently slowered down, and ive still yet to see what these squad/small based skirmishes were all about, and im waiting for the revised advantages/disadvantages to the races.

What im really excited for is the 8coop with the class system. If they take care with it, it could be potentially awesome, i love games where one needs to think and work together rather then run and shoot everything that moves.

If I knew 7 people with this game and a ps3 I would agree, but I just can't see getting 8 people together to do this.

  9. .... we still easily get the full 20 party crew in multi, 8 will be nothing. With the friendlist expanded and more of TNL getting PS3s, there will be more people to play with (and you dont needto just play with TNL people you know)
