Maybe good players aren't that easy to find.... All the games I have played over XBL (COD4, TF2, H3, etc) no one ever talks. I am just as guilty as the next person for that, but I am barely hanging on as it is.... Gears is cool, you pretty much will die without teamwork.

No kidding, randoms are lame no matter what the game. I'll be getting this for the campaign for sure..but MP? Doubtful. Gears two

The random COD4 experience is pretty shitty. In my opinion that game was incredibly boring from day 1 since it's just so incredibly easy to get kills, but it was tons of fun playing with my full group of friends all the time. I don't expect there to be any communication in random games there since the community is going to be full of jackasses, and the game is so easy at the public game level.

news is coming out of resistance 2 and resistance: retribution connectivity.

Connecting R:R to a PS3, causes your PSP to get infected, which gives R:R an alternate storyline and gameplay changes, and by completing the infected stages, you win things in R2.

On the other side, connecting your PSP to your PS3 with R2 and R:R enables PSP Plus, which allows you to play R:R on your TV via your PSP (slim or 300 series), AND use a dualshock 3 to play the game, and the game is rumble ready.

Id very much love to see this PSP Plus stuff extended to other games.

Anyone get into the beta? I have been playing it and the 8 player co-op is decent.

I got in and played it for a bit. It controls pretty well. Its nice to earn XP just for shooting someone and not even killing them. Other than that its pretty meh. Graphics dont look that hot, kinda fuzzy. Runs smooth though. The 60 player battles are just too damn big. You dont feel like a part of the team and really contributing to anything. The big battles just arent my thing I guess. Tried co-op a bit also and its more eh. I'll play some more this weekend and see if my opinion changes. If anyone else has this let me know and I'll try to get on.

My biggest complaint about the co-op is the fact that sometimes you can spend minutes just shooting at one enemy. I can even play with one hand at times because you are just sitting there shooting at it.
