Thread: Let's start at the beginning.

  1. 18. Culdcept SAGA - 360: This game hates me.
    19. Professor Layton and the Curious Village - DS: This game loves me. (And I love it.)
    20. Missing: Since January GOTY Edition - PC

\\ BITCH MODE SWITCH ON \\

Fucking horseshit PC gaming. I fucking hate it so much. Every time I install a new game, I have to turn into a fucking detective to get it working -- scouring the internet for leads.

Missing requires you to register with their servers so they can send you emails as part of the game. Well, of course I can't even connect at first. Round one of internet research sees I need the latest patch because the assholes changed the name of their server after releasing the game. Nice move. Fine, get that. Install it.

Now, I can connect, and am supposedly registered, but the registration email with my password never arrives. I tried my ISP's main account, and my free yahoo one -- neither of which I've ever had trouble receiving mail with. Nada. Round 2 of internet research shows others have had the same issue with no resolution.

So the game is 100% useless. I can't make it past the initial registration screen.

Oh yeah, they force you to watch some chick running through a dark hall for 40 seconds every time you want to reboot the game and try again. I guess it never occurred to them that there could EVER be ANY problems with this registration bullshit.

Supposed to be a cool game, but even if I eventually get it working, the whole thing will be tainted by the sour aftertaste of wholly justified frustration. I'm not trying to play this thing two decades after release. It's been a few years, copies are still being sold new, there's no excuse for them to not still be supporting it.

\\BITCH MODE SWITCH... EH, MIGHT AS WELL JUST LEAVE IT ON\\

  2. 6. Adventures of Lolo 2- Holeee shit biscuits! This one is much more difficult than the first! It makes the first one look like a joke, having to use Rockys and Leevers as shields and such.

7.Endless Ocean- Was a little disappointing at first. Then i saw a big ol' whale and now i'm in love!

8.Wonder Boy in Monster World- Had a little trouble getting past the first part, but now i like it more than Dragon's Trap.
    Donk

That sucks about Missing: Since January, Compass. I remember having some problem when I played it a few years ago with one of their sites being down. Other than that, I liked the game a lot.

I have already lost track of all the games I have started this year. The last one is a game I don't think has been mentioned at TNL, Forgotten Riddles: The Mayan Princess, a budget PC game from last year. So far it's a surprisingly enjoyable I Spy/riddle/puzzle game.

  4. Culdcept Saga: The AI cheats
    DMC4: The story sucks
    Beautiful Katamari: you suck

  5. Suikoden V - Started this game up, and liking it so far even if ti's been pretty non-interactive. I created an official thread for it, GO LOOK.

Also.. I should finish Valkyrie Profile Silmeria, I was like mid chapter 4.

  6. DMC 4: Not bad, not great, story is probably right up there with some of Shakespeare's finest work

F.E.A.R.: playing on extreme makes me cry, but in a good way. Creepy too with that burning little girl.

NFS: Most Wanted: fun game, but getting your notoriety up is annoying.

Yup. Haven't beaten it yet, but a good game. Ubi should make the battle system just slightly more entertaining though.
Still not thinking right? Then it isn't working.

The cop chases are the most intense parts of the game!

I like it best when you are racing and the cops come and add to the fun. But driving around looking for trouble is annoying when I outrun the cops in 10 seconds.

Yeah, it's easy to lose the first cop within seconds, especially if you have one of the better cars. However, stick around until enough cops show up and you're in for a handful. With your heat high enough, it takes some mad driving skills to complete some of the later Milestone challenges.
