Throw in another vote for Adaptation. I love that movie. And I usually hate self-referential Hollywood-is-so-unfair-to-writers movies.

I always forget that Francis Ford Coppola is his uncle and therefor related to Sofia Coppola and Jason Schwartsman.

Talent pool dried up on that family.

While I haven't seen his latest batch (Lord of War, Adaptation) Nick Cage is awesome in these movies:

Raising Arizona
Leaving Las Vegas
The Rock
Con Air

Since those actually took effort on his part those are why they were good. Ghost Rider is a watchable movie but that doesn't mean that he wasn't also sleepwalking through the entire role and it's obvious that he's trying not to at times but fails.
