But Capcom is kicking ass right now for real. SSFIV, Lost Planet 2, Monster Hunter 3, and RE 5 DLC just this spring alone. The only Japanese developer worth a shit anymore and they actually care about online play.

Hm. They've upgraded the graphics from "Kill it with fire!" to "offensively ugly".

God damn it why are 2D games so ugly these days?

No doubt about this. Capcom is literally the only Japanese house that got better with the move to 3D. Konami ruled 2D but took a nose dive after the original Silent Hill basically in 3D.
