I do it with the guns I take from them. It's rewarding.
Even if you kill everyone, it's stupid to do it with punches and kicks.

That's the right way to do it.
I didn't suggest you were bad at combat, nor was I boasting that I was good at it. I said that the combat worked perfectly when done correctly, and asked why you felt that the combat sucked the life out of the 1P game. And Test of Faith, if that's what you're referring to, is irrelevant. I didn't get the Achievement because I like shooting people. I'm pretty sure, though, that I can push Y as well as the next person. A good indicator of skill here would be speed runs and time trials -- mine thus far are pretty respectable. Too bad you didn't like the game.
"Fiends! Animals! Bastards!"
EA has unlocked the time trails in the demo. When it asks you for the 16 digit code, put in all zeros and you can play the two trials (the demo level split up into 2 sections).
Just finished the PC version. Screw everyone who gave this a shitty review. Great port, great game.
I will, however, be skipping the story sections on a replay. For a dystopian future, I still don't understand what the big problem is. Everything's cleaner and brighter and there's nice furniture everywhere. Oh wait, there are ads in elevators and on rooftops. EVERYBODY RIOT.
For anyone on the fence, do you like awesome racing games like Trackmania or PGR? The press-a-button-to-instantly-restart-the-race-three-dozen-times-before-you-get-a-gold kind of racing game. Yes? Get Mirror's Edge. No? Kill yourself.
edit: I shot the guards. Disarming everyone is for mouthbreathers.

I also have just finished Mirror's Edge on the PC and it was fantastic. I love sliding and kicking people in the nuts, that will never get old. Ever. Using the mouse and keyboard works perfectly, and the way the buttons are mapped on the 360 controller
seems so awkward.
I do terribly miss having achievements to shoot for, how hard is that to incorporate into PC games?

Blame EA. Other companies either use Steam's achievement system or Microsoft's. Fallout 3 PC actually has achievements that are viewable from Live.
I know it does, and I love it for doing so.
I had to create a shitty EA Online login for the time trials. I still have hate for them from the Xbox Burnout 3 days =[

One more thing: why would anybody make a song for a video game and call it "Still Alive" after Portal?
