On the contrary, I much preferred speed running the main game's levels. The time trials were very hit or miss in terms of layout.

Yeah, speed running is fun as hell. The story mode is just there to like, walk you through.

It's not a game you can fully appreciate on your first play, that's for sure.

I paid $40 instead of $60 on release and got to play it with all the crazy PhysX effects, awesome kb/m controls and whatnot. I love the game, really fantastic, and it's frustrating to know that EA could've done it up right: Games for Windows, achievements, DLC content that works on Steam =[

Fuck EA, the whole thing is a cockup.

PS - I'm probably going to get this on the 360 soon, just waiting for it to be $20 or less.

BTW, this game is on gogamer.com for $5.90 (PC version) until about 5PM today. I picked up a copy! You probably should.

360 and Ps3 versions of this are now $19.99 at TRU and probably everywhere else BTW.

PC version is the only way to go. Controls 100x better with kb/mouse, and I'm not normally one of those people who slams FPS games with a controller. It's also nice that it looks much better, runs at a better framerate, and doesn't have tedious achievements to worry about.
