Neo Geo Battle Coliseum - Ironic because of its name, NGBC marked the first major SNK arcade release off the Neo Geo in over a decade. While evolution was becoming more and more necessary, it was still sad to see such a fantastic piece of hardware ride off into the sunset.

NGBC was SNK's second Atomiswave game, unless you're completely ignoring King of Fighters: Neowave (lord knows I did).

Star Wars Galaxies' "combat revamp" and "new game enhcancements" - No one will ever convince me that Star Wars Galaxies, in its original form, was not the best MMO ever coded. It had the depth of over 30 professions, the ability to mix and match skills in any way up to the skill point limit, deep crafting where all versions of item A were not created equal, a true player-based economy, badges and rewards to make characters unique, and housing to decorate in incredibly unique ways. Then, the dumb fucks at SOE decided that SWG needed to be WoW. It eventually wound up with less than 10 professions and dumbed down combat. Help us, Bioware MMO. You are our only hope.

I totally agree!

I'd put in all the effort to master several professions, only to be offered a level 30 something character that couldn't do half the things I'd mastered before. I still have the SWG boxes sitting on a shelf in my office, teasing me with thoughts of just how great that game could have been.

Street Fighter 3 - ... What you don't know, is that if you had spent that time with a better fighter, you would be having 10x the fun, and would not get as frustrated. Retro pull at its worst. Got me in for a bit, then I realized it was terrible.

Adventure Island - This is the video game equivalent of someone making a great song, and then someone else doing a lower quality cover of it right afterwards and having it become more popular than the original.

Was Adventure Island that popular in the first place? Growing up, i only knew one guy who knew of the series. Besides having worse graphics and better music, what does Adventure Island do different than Wonder Boy? From what i understand, Adventure Island was closer to the arcade original than the SMS version, which had an extra level or something.

The only game that affects me enough to bitch about is Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts 2, but even thinking about them makes me sick, so i won't.

I was in my early 20's when the Pokeman craze hit. I'd walked into a mall, only to find I was standing in the middle of a Pokeman tournament. A year later, the Gamestop (in that same mall) has people lined up to the doors for the first Pokeman game on the Gameboy.

Years later, I'd tried to play Pokeman Gold on the GBC, only to find the RPG gameplay was far worse than that of the first Final Fantasy, the battles were nothing more than rock, paper, scissors and the storyline sucked. Why do you sheeple keep buying this crap!?
