I think the alternate ending would be improved if they had it cut off before the cops show up, just have the friend showing up screaming, the thuds down stairs after she did and fade to black.

Things I did like about this alternate ending were, the way she stays through out the video (hours and hours) and how at the last moment she regains her humanity back, just to be killed by the fucking cops.

But it was unnecessary prolonged, and didn't really closed anything. Since I already know everything about the end anyways, I got to find the theatrical ending on youtube for famous closeup

I knew nothing about this movie before-hand, except that it's not actual recovered footage. Wasn't too impressed. It doesn't help that the subject matter deals with such hokey, thoroughly debunked phenomena. I thought maybe it would start out with stuff that the couple concluded as paranormal, but would seem completely explainable to anyone else, and then slowly reduce the level of coincidence until the viewer believes it. At that point, flip the switch, and madness ensues.

It never seemed real (even the interaction of the couple), and if you're not buying it as authentic, than it fails to provide the basic story elements. Even my girlfriend, who is the most easily affected person I know when it comes to creepy movies, never suspended disblief and remained critical. Both endings were pretty lame.

The Katie character had a respectable rack and slew of nice tops, so I guess there's that.

Just saw theatrical end - Not bad. Great job on building atmosphere to the body shot, you hear sounds, you stare into the dark, then blam. Sure its a cheap scare tactic, but it works well here. Didn't care for Booga part - maybe it was a shitty youtube video, but face didnt look all that different.

3/5 - I was initially going to give this a a 2, but it entertained me so I couldn't go that low. This is one of those movies that works one thousand times better after you see it, when you just watch what is on the screen it isn't much, but when you think about it later on you see how cool alot of it was. I actually had a little trouble sleeping that night thinking about it, and I had a very bizarre dream inspired by the movie.

I really liked the concept that it wasn't the house that was haunted, but the girl was, I can't recall seeing that in the past (I obviously don't watch enough horror movies).

There is one particular moment in the movie that is extremely simple that I thought was really creepy, but if you have to just accept the universe of the movie in order to like it, if you go into it trying to be a skeptic you are going to walk away completely unsatisfied.

That alternate ending with the cops sucked shit, and I was not pleased to see the theatrical ending in the trailer.

This movie sucked. If you're going to fill an hour and seventeen minutes with a door creaking, a chandelier swinging a little, a mild flame on a Ouija board and bad acting you shouldn't be making movies.

There are so many things they could have easily done to make this scary or at least entertaining.
