For $29.99, I can buy this argument. Plus someone said the game has big jugs.

  4. This seems okay! Not sure what to think so far, really. Kind of intimidating, it seems like there's a lot to learn here.

  5. I'm buying this. Reminds me of some corny MvC2 only with less characters
    6-6-98 - 6-6-18 Happy 20th Anniversary TNL

  6. Homing Cancel is a little silly, but I dig it so far. I really like the concept of Arcanas, which are essentially a dozen or so secondary move sets to choose from after selecting a character blob girl ^____^;;;.

Thanks for the news. Order placed!

Every 2D fighter in Japan these days is cut from that same combo-fest mold, KoF being the lone exception. This is like the exact same game as Melty Blood except without the boy characters. It does what it does just fine, though.

I would go on this long tirade of how the two games are different, but at a sufficiently simplified level you're right: both games feature lots of little girls, nearly perpetually safe pressure sequences, and very loose movement engines with lots of air-to-air movement.

They really do play differently, especially once you get good enough to be able to play at a Japanese arcade without embarrassing yourself.

The biggest difference is that average age of the characters in Melty Blood is half a decade (or half of a millennium) older than the characters in Arcana Heart.
