Thread: TNL's Games of the Month: 2007

Dude, it's pac-man. There's nothing chan about pac-man. That's like saying Super Mario Bros. is chan.
    Pete DeBoer's Tie
There are no rules, only consequences.

  2. It's a Japanese game, so technically there is. I put it in that list because it's naming a game from 17 years ago GOTM.
nah son, that's not how it works.

There was a really retarded thread on this topic though.

  3. That's not how what works?

  5. I never said there was in my original post. When Cow brought it up, I joked that it is from Japan. Don't turn gaming nerd on me.

January, May, June, July, and December are all terrible choices.
Those months have really bad releases, so they look weird next to other GOTMs.

Call of Duty 4 deserves a mention, but November has like 5 winners (Rock Band, Uncharted, Mass Effect, SMG) so the only reason it didn't get a mention is because it falls into the wrong month.

  7. FUCK YOU ANDY THAT HANZO SPRITE WAS NEW.

Also, Etrian Odyssey is like a million times better than Odin Sphere.

    Thanks, fixed.
Buy Yakuza and Oblivion. Help yourself, help TNL.

I think we did fairly well. Super Paper Mario, Bomberman Live, and Odin Sphere are the only ones I greatly disagree with. And even then, those month didn't have many other appealing games.

November was the greatest month for videogames in the history of the industry. Games that would have been shoe-ins for GOTY in any other year weren't even runners-up. Of course there's going to be disagreement. I personally didn't vote for Super Mario Galaxy, for instance.

  10. I only just noticed your labeling of the images, and how you matched the font to the game and such. Looks good.
