Thread: Best Sega Game on Dreamcast

  1. 1. Shenmue
    2. Shenmue 2
    3. Jet Grind Radio

    By far!

  2. I'm astonished at how many of you don't even have Skies listed. It's #1 by such a long shot that #2 isn't even in sight.

    #2 Samba de Amigo 2000

    #3 Sonic Adventure

This is with all due respect to Rez, Chu Chu Rocket, Sega Rally 2, and JSR. I love all those games, but there can only be 3 in the top 3.

    Damn straight!

I want a sequel to Final Fantasy Tactics, and Skies of Arcadia so bad I can taste it.

  5. Shenmue II- Something must have gone wrong the first time because Shenmue 2 is about a million times better. The game is almost perfect
Jet Grind Radio- Fun, inventive, arcadey and different. quite the first attempt!
Mars MAtrix- One of the best shooters in recent years. Love the game to death.

  6. #1 - Skies of Arcadia -- enough has been said about how great this game is.. I loved it... completely unforgettable characters and story..

#2 - PSO -- these kind of games make sega what they are.. original and most often, the one to forge ahead into unknown territory, in this case, the first console online RPG.. It was a lot of fun..

#3 - Crazy Taxi -- the beginning of my revived love of Sega.. I bought a Dreamcast for this game

here's my real pick for #2, but it wasn't a sega game, so i put it down here:

#2 - Test Drive: LeMans -- this game just completely blew me away.. I loved everything about it.. The handle, the looks, the music, sounds, tension, etc.. I still play it to unwind now and then..
MK2 on XBLA plz - let the unfolding of gameplay begin!!

  7. 1. Shenmue II, with a bullet. Way ahead of anything else Sega did on the system, including the first Shenmue.

    2. Jet Grind Radio. Stylish, totally playable, and original.

    3. NBA 2K - revolutionary. put EA on its ass right out of the gate, and keeps getting better with each installment.

    Still. Haven't. Played. Rez.

Well, that's the thing. Neither am I. Skies, Chrono Trigger, and Granadia II are not only the only RPG's I've ever liked, they're the only RPG's I could ever stand. That's how good Skies is.

Oh by the way, I've never played Panzer Saga, and games like Shing Force and Dragon Force and other strategy games don't count as RPGs in my book.

This is quite a big deterrent.

Well the only traditional RPG's I've ever played all the way through are Breath of Fire 1 and 2 for SNES and they were both really good. I also rented Secret of Mana once as a kid but it wasn't too much fun (I only got to play one player though). And I own both Super Mario RPG and Paper Mario both of which failed to excite me enough to finish the game...... I've watched friends play some of the newer RPG's (mostly Final Fantasy) and frankly they seem about as exciting as watching grass grow.

But if you say Skies is that good then maybe I will track down a copy someday and give it a go......
