LOL NO LEFT TURN. There's a place right across the street from me where you're not supposed to take a left turn into it, there's been at least 3 accidents since I moved here in that spot.

Every time. There is a median that separates it in two different curves, basically so you can only take a right turn in and a right turn out. Most of the accidents happen from people trying to make the left turn, I'm not sure how they time it so poorly but it sure does make them look dumb!

It was like 1:30 AM at night with no cars anywhere near us, not to mention no median. You could actually make lefts before, but because so many cars were getting accidents, they put up a sign or two saying right turn only. I knew about it too (I go to that In-N-Out often, in Burbank), but the closest freeway was to my left, so I was like what the fuck, I'll go for it.

It's only my second traffic ticket ever, so I'm not too pissed about it.. at least not until I get the fine amount in the mail, not to mention I'll probably need to pay for traffic school to keep the point off my record.

I'm not sure how things work in your state but you can save yourself a lot of hassle in PA by pleading not-guilty to all traffic violations and going to court. You're probably not going to get the ticket dropped (at least, I never have) but they'll knock it down to a penalty that won't reflect on your driving record.

I was immune to this for years because of when I got up and where I had to go, but the people of Rochester seriously fail at driving the highways in the morning. Absolutely fucking retarded. They have turned my 15 minute commute into more than double that. Then I get out right at the beginning of rush hour, and it's not much better. Fuck you stupid assholes, learn to merge goddamnit! Ugh I can't wait for my 3pm to midnight shift to kick in.

My first ticket I pleaded guilty because the court was in San Diego. I went to traffic school (well, online), paid off the ticket and didn't get a point on my record.

In CA, if you go to court and the officer doesn't show, the case gets dismissed. A few of my friends have done that and have gotten out of the ticket, so I may try that. If not, I'll just do what I did before. I'm hoping traffic school is an option; doing that online was a breeze.

But I'm pretty the only way to prevent a point from going on your record is if the option of traffic school is given.
