Yes, cp pictures should obviously be illegal because, as diff wisely pointed out, the kids depicted are all victims. No, there isn't a magic age of consent, everyone develops at their own rate but since that's vague as shit everyone in the area got together and agreed on the age of consent for their state/country/whatever. It's not a perfect system but it's a sketchy subject.

The real problem, as Timber mentioned, is the difference between finding a really young girl or a girl with a fully developed body below the age of consent attractive, and what to even do with someone who is turned on by the former.

Is it established that pedophiles usually develop from abusive childhoods, or are people naturally born being attracted to small children? That's a pretty frightening concept on a lot levels.

BTW, I seem to recall that one porn dude, Max Hardcore, was almost sent to jail on obscenity charges relating (in part, at least) to the legal-age actresses in his movies portraying themselves as underage or something. There are obscenity laws on the books and Miller vs. California established guidelines for what is not protected speech. So it wasn't because they were underage looking but that they were "obscene."

Obviously enforcement of those provisions ebbs and flows. Bush brought it back with a vengeance for obvious reasons. I do believe Obama kept up with a few of those cases for some reason.

A co-worker was a no-call/no-show on Monday, she was usually very responisble. Yesterday as we were leaving we got a phone call and were told that she was found deceased in her house while her kids were on vacation with the ex-husband. It's kind of weird, you hear about this sort of stuff but never think it'll happen. So now the office is getting stir crazy trying to piece together what happened, but a post her son placed on her FB page makes it sound like she took matters into her own hands.

People would rather safeguard their children by outlawing disgusting japanese underage hentai porn so as not to encourage the behaviour. Sure, it's a little over the line, but there are bigger issues IMO. Making a few gross drawings illegal along with the rest of that associated behaviour is not going to cause me to lose sleep.
