Both sides are ridiculous. The city in not cleaning up trash and letting an eyesore fester, bringing down property values and likely costing them tax revenue. He is ridiculous in that he put park benches, trees, and sidewalk paving in property that doesn't belong to him without permission.
They should just poll the community. If its public land and everyone likes it, the powers that be should keep their mouth shut.
A lot of labor unions are basically organized crime syndicates. They corner the market in the areas where they operate and often use corrupt politicians to make sure it stays that way. It wouldn't surprise me if they had enforcers that threatened people...at least that's how things are in Philly.
In the "what's bugging me" news:
Every time me wife leaves me with the baby (like right now) he cries nearly non stop and there's nothing I can figure out how to make him stop. Sometimes holding him and talking to him works but it might take a bit. The other day he was crying because he peed himself so I changed him and he started crying even harder after that and didn't stop for 45 minutes. Eventually the cat and I were just sitting there staring at him trying to figure out what to do.
Ive been getting better with him but he's still a lot more comfortable with his mom and he's starting to get fussy if nobody is holding him. Despite all of this, despite the sleep deprivation and destruction of my social life; I really couldn't be happier. When I'm away from home, I can't wait to come home and see my family. Full-time husband, full time father, student and employee isnt easy though and I don't recommend it![]()
Don't worry too much about the crying, you'll figure it out sooner than later. Also, some babies just cry, and it doesn't hurt to let them scream their heads off once in a while. You'll be able to tell if he's actually in real distress or if he's just being fussy.
Yeah. I generally advise people going into engineering to quit their jobs and any other time consuming responsibilities that might get in the way of school.
If you manage to get through, you're a better man than I.
Try shaking him, really really hard.
Seriously though, don't let it get to you. I've been there. I know the endless crying can frustrate you to the point where you are at your wits end. If it gets to that point, make sure his diaper is clean, make sure he's been fed and degassed, basically make sure that any possible outside force that could be bothering him aside from the lack of his mother is taken care of, and then go into another room and let him scream. He will eventually stop.
