To each their own. There's enough tracks from those games in DS that I don't feel the need to go back.

MK DS looks a hell of a lot better than MK64. That fucking thing was a blurry mess ten years ago, and it is today.
DS's characters are made of fat-ass polygons, but they're stylized well. I really wish there were a lot more multiplayer options, though.S.

I'm glad they took out the snaking, speed boosts sound like more fun.
I'm thinking the wheels not going to add much, too bad because this is the only game I could ever see myself using a wiimote attachment with.
Mario Kart DS was a lot of fun, the N64 game was and always will be busted as hell.
The only fun thing about MK64 is the balloon dueling on block fort, they were never able to make that shit fun again on any new MK game.

i've played the original (still my favorite) and the N64 version which was god awful. never touched the GC one and only spent about 5 minutes playing my brothers DS version.
why can't they just try to make a game where if you have skill you win? none of this lightning and red shells only shit for 2-8th place on every lap shit. if i beating your ass by RACING, i should have a leg up.
In a sense, Mario Kart is a racing game in the same way "Smash Bros." is a fighting game, i.e., it's really not. It's kind of it's own thing.
