Who cares? While I understand it is not a Wipeout game, it doesn't even feel like you're moving. That's pretty much Sin #1 of a racing game. Lots of people like pooing on each other too, but that doesn't mean it's good.

I don't think any "kart game" has ever been marketed as "FIERCE REALISTIC RACING ACTION". It's a goofy game where you cause people grief while going around a track, and is a good time for all involved.

You've failed to explain how "fun" and "good" are different concepts. If it was an Important New FPS with SHINY GRASS, you'd be all about it.
Because it's a racing game, and you don't, well...race? Unless you consider moving molasses slow racing. I think that sums it up pretty well.
