Honestly, I don't think I'll ever use the karts anymore because of how impractical the level 2 mini-turbo has become as a result of the "snaking nerf"--there's like one or two turns per track where you can actually get one off, and in the same time it takes you to do
one, a bike can have gotten off two or three level 1 mini-turbos.

Basically, wheelies + sharper handling > level 2 mini-turbos and more girth.

Just use the one that you have more fun driving around with. The rest will work itself out.

I've hardly touched the karts, so I don't really think I can make the call yet.

I'm not sure that 'bikes have sharper handling' bit applies, however. The main reason I opted for bikes was actually because the drift cornering on the karts seemed too good, they went into a much smaller arc than what I'm used to. And it still gets boost for lvl 1 sparks, so you can boost just as often as bikes. I will say that I don't see where they make up for the advantage of wheelies, though. Maybe they have slightly higher top speeds?

I'll try a kart with low handling/high top speed tonight to test it out.

Dry Bowser's practically impossible to unlock. I think you have to get 3-star ratings on every 150cc cup, which is insane.

Makes me sad, I really wanted to use him too... I mean, a Bowser skeleton riding a motorcycle, it doesn't get much cooler than than.

Oh well, 'least I got Dry Bones.

Maybe there's an alternative unlock, like playing certain hours of vs. time or online play. Because yeah, that's nuts.

I just checked, it's 1 star rating for each of the 150cc cups, seems a lot more doable.

1 star ratings are easy to get on 100cc. I just finished all those up last night, so on to the torture of 150cc AI.

Yeah, I just checked too. And actually, I think you just need it on the new tracks, not the retro ones.

The cup with Rainbow Road will be a pain. That's the one course where I can't do shit on a bike. The banked curves are almost impossible to take with bike powerslides, so I just end up having to steer without sliding, which means no mini-turbos.
