  2. Ideally, you want reasonable companies to push good music, so you get reasonable record deal, and don't have to deal with the business side of music. This is very far from the case, but perhaps it won't always be like that. Its a bi-product of band desperation and consumer ignorance.

  4. I still buy CD's, but the new RobeDoor isn't exactly being pushed by Sony. I buy it for/from the people who actually sat there for a day and a half assembling 500 of the goddamn things and put their thumb print on it.

    I also only purchase from indie labels/shops.

  7. Unfortunately, more than 80% of music sales come from CDs, and the general public doesn't really care about starving artists. And too many big artists are making enough money to not stand up and tell the record labels to fuck off.

    HEY ASSHOLES CHANGE TAKES TIME OK? This industry is not going to survive. These labels are no longer needed. Do your part and change happens even sooner.
