I won't lie. I thought Grandma's Boy was fucking stupid the first time I saw it, but that movie has grown on me and it's the little things that crack me up (i.e., the robot-talking "leet" programmer guy).
So based on POPULAR demand, here's the thread spun out of that other one.
Ever see any movies that you absolutely HATED the first time you saw them, but for whatever reason you watched them again and it's like you watched a totally different movie?
Three off the top of my head were Kung Pow, Half Baked, and Austin Powers. I thought that they were terribly unfunny the first time I watched them. Then I was forced to sit through them again, and laughed my ass off.

For real, that movie is king of the dumb comedies.
Umm, on-topic....movies I hated in the first place I generally don't end up liking. I can't think of any.
I hate the new Battlestar Galactica but I'm giving it another chance. I know it's not a movie, but I catch flak for my dislike of that all the time.
Anchorman.
I know, it's horrible to say I hated it, but the first time I did. I watched it by myself and didn't think it was that funny. I didn't watch it again for almost a year, and when I finally did, I absolutely loved it.
I've seen that a few times. Still don't like it. I guess I'm just not a fan of "stupid" comedy. Will and Adam Sandler have never done anything for me.
I didn't like "Hackers" the first time I saw it. Now I'll stop and watch it whenever it's on. Hilarious movie, not one bit on purpose.
Didn't know what to make of the recent Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy movie the first time I saw it, but now it's a favorite. I think it suffered a little bit from the perception that things were "missing", now I just see every different version as its own take on the same material.
Mullholland Drive. Saw it with my parents (go go awkward lesbian sex scenes), thought it was stupid. About a year later, saw it again, and now its one of my favorites.
