So, I did not know about the Remake of Lufia II, but I am now very interested in it. Not to mention how awesome the music in the SNES version was is giving me awesome nostalgia.

I barely remember it now, but I believe it just seemed, while technically competent, fairly bland and unremarkable to me. I didn't finish it. I also imagine I would've liked it more if I was more into puzzle-dungeon type games myself.

I picked it up when it was released but I never finished playing it. It wasn't because I thought it was bad though, it was just released during a time where I haven't been doing too much gaming. It was pretty similar to Hotel Dusk in a lot of ways but it did its own thing too. I have been meaning to get back to it but I just haven't gotten around to doing so. If I remember correctly though it was more story intensive that Hotel Dusk. If the overly done story turned you off with Hotel Dusk you might want to rethink it. All in all, worth checking out.
