But good CG aside, this trailer is "edgy" in ways that aren't needed. You know, "Get ready to be SMURF'D," "SMURF HAPPENS," "Wild Thing" by Tone Loc mixed in with the "La-la-lalalala" Smurf theme...lame as fuck.
If you've read the Fraggle Rock movie thread, I guess this is that kind of "edge" that the studio is bitching that they want the director to include in that movie as well. Hollywood is chock full of stupid fucktards who are completely out of it.

At the theater tonight I saw a big ol' cardboard advertisement for this. One of the Smurfs was Scottish Smurf. Why? What need did that fill? How did that meeting go?

I was filming a tour of a prison in East Meadow, NY for work last year and it turns out that scenes from The Smurfs were filmed there. The guard was telling us that Gargamel was in jail and he casts some spell while in a courtyard and a swarm of flies cover him and fly him over the wall. Whee.
