Fes is the standalone version, so buying this gets you the 50 dollar game and the 30 dollar append in one magical disk. Or two. It could be 2 DVDs, I would not be surprised.

It is. FES will be good if you're just worried about playing the game, but the original P3 release will no doubt still be worth it to collectors and fans of the series.

Figures that Atlus would do this. Now those of us who actually bought P3 recently are getting fucked by a better deal. I just bought and started it, and I guess Ill just stop playing,wait until April, and pop another $30 down on this....or just say Fuck It. I would have liked to have the "Append Disc" option personally.

... It's really not that big of deal. The append disk would have been $30 as well, so the only difference is you would have already spent the extra $50 before others, so you could laugh at them for this.

Yup, and P3 package is sweet, no regrets there.

It's not totally worthless to play the original P3. Your academics/athletics/charm stats all carry over to FES if you have a P3 save file. Gets rid of a lot of the stat grinding.
