I've been going to the same Sushi place for, like, 8 years and I get treated like royalty every time I go there.

I may start tipping the Vietnamese place because the guy has started recognizing me. Couldn't hurt. Now that I think about it when I was "lunch bitch" and I'd pick up other peoples food I'd always tip with their money.

To all the people saying you have to tip people for putting your food in a page, do you tip a gas station employee when they pump your gas in the 2 states that only have full service?

Those people are making minimum wage, and they don't have to wash your windows, check your oil, or a 50 million other things people expect you to do.

I pumped gas through out all of HS, and did a ton of shit that wasn't part of my job, nobody tipped me for it, nor did I expect it.

Dude I worked as a gas pumper for all 4 years of HS and 2 of college I could count on 1 hand the amount of times I got tipped. Mind you I was also some one who made sure to wash people's front and back windows, and ask them if they wanted their oil checked. No one ever tips for that shit, if they say they do, they're a fucking liar.

I do tip, handsomely most of the time -- for delivery or waiting. Not takeout. But lets be honest here. The people who usually spit in your food are working on the line or the waitress. They get their tips at the end of the meal so if they were going to spit in your food they wouldn't've had a clue how you'd tip them. You could have given them 20.00's for a 30 dollar bill and you still would've eaten shit.

I never said people do, but you are in fact, supposed to tip them. So if you're trying to use that as a reason not to tip when picking up takeout, you're no better than the assholes who never tipped you.

Also I never tip on takeout unless I know the cooks are getting part of the tip.
