I tried. My list of eleven is on the first page. Of them, I've only started Advance Wars 2 (I had the second one, not the first like I had thought). Holy shit, this is really good! It combines the deliberate, turn-based pace of an SRPG or board game with the freedom of unit creation normally associated with RTS, only with out the "RT" part, which I find to be too stressful.

And no bullshit power-leveling! Actual, hand-to-God strategy! A rare find, indeed! I can't talk about this game without gratuitous exclamation point usage or occasional italics for emphasis, it really is that good!
