Depends. It's not amazing literature, but if you are interested in the Gears universe at all and filling some of the may holes left by the game, then it is a good read. It's deeper than the games, and does a better job of being deeper than Gears 2 did, but if you hated the stories in the games, then I don't think you will lke the book.
