    Fuck this game.

    Let's play after the Devils Game. I want to run horde, waves 30-50. I actually got to 30 in a pub last night but some euro trash dropped because his uncle came home or some shit and we eventually failed it. Close though.

  5. I'm in for private Horde (want to save progress). Haven't played it yet but can't imagine the first waves being very difficult. Can you play, for example, the first 10 waves on normal difficulty then the rest on easy and still unlock the 50 waves achievement?

    Yeah, but why would you? Hardcore is the real deal, I haven't managed to clear wave 50 on hardcore yet because we didn't have a serious group. Casual is too easy. Normal is how I'd prefer to do it. Even then the first 20 waves or so are pretty boring barring 10 and 20.

  7. Meh, can't really see it being too hard. I mean it's just about finding choke points and exploiting the AI.

    Exactly. There are a few serious threats on Horde:

    1) Bloodmounts. Especially when they are beefed up they can down in 1 hit, and you can't run away or down them before they get you, so you MUST choke them off with shields.

    2) Boomers. When they get beefed up a near miss will still instant kill you.

    3) Cyclops. The chainsaw is an instantkill, and if you've been downed a few times they can and will pick you off at distance. Snipe their heads off.

    4) Theron guards. Another instant-kill enemy at higher waves/difficulties. Snipe their heads off.

    5) Grenadier Elite. Maulers, grinders, flamers and boomers aren't really that big a threat on early waves, and on the intense waves are easily choked off. The problem lies when the Grenadiers charge, as they are wont to do, and kick your shields down when you're not paying attention.

    6) On security, Kantus. Their ink makes things very difficult when you're holed up in the security.


    If you can manage those things it's really not hard.

  9. Yeah, you'll have to show me the levels and all that shit. I actually did play a few rounds with an Australian friend of mine on Blood Drive or whatever, that map seemed pretty easy. I think getting on the ledge on Day 1 where the Longshot/Torque spawns would be a pretty easy way to do it too.

    Yep. Only problem is it's pretty vulnerable to boomers, and if you don't shield the stairs properly grinders and shit can get up and shoot you through them, so you shield a little below the top. Day 1 and Security are probably the two easiest maps though.

    It takes a while on Day 1 though because you don't really want to be running out for ammo near the 10 waves so you wind up waiting on the gun spawn.
