I still think this is Cliff's way of sticking it to people who complained about smoke grenades. No one whined about the 5v5 match ups. In fact, increasing team members was wanted badly. 4v4 will just thin out teams on huge maps.

True. This weekend should be 5v5 with no smoke downs if they really wanted to "TEST" it. Giving it a name like "Retro Weekend" or whatever and knocking play down to 4v4 justifies it, it seems.

Regardless it will be fun to play with no smoke downs, sucks that it is 4v4.

Agreed, it is not like he is hurting from the Gears 2 sale.
