The autosaves in Mass Effect were also shit.

  2. I guess I'm super lucky then since I never encountered a single bug, the Inventory system wasn't that bad I've never dealt with worse, but it wasn't enough for me to go UGH. Like I said it still took 5 seconds to find what the hell I wanted to do, never any longer unless I was comparing gear.

The digital acting was ok, I never expected much of it anyways, lol @ caring about Popin, that doesn't hurt my enjoyment of a game one bit. There was nothing really wrong with the action's command system other than the fact while the AI wasn't worthless it's still not remotely as good as it could be.

But yes, the voice acting was damn good.

Oh also if you try to make a good looking female character, it's impossible, that was a downside. Some of the sidequests were still cool, the ship with the revolting workers, the squad that was killed by the Thresher (I think that's what they were called). I wish they had introduced more of the universe like they did with the Thresher though, they really should have used the sidequests to reveal more about the universe you were in.

Cover didn't always work right, neither did sprinting, unless I'm doing it wrong. After playing Gears, which itself isn't perfect, it just feels like ass in your hands.

Oh yeah, and the Mako was atrocious. LOL VEHICLE SECTIONS LOL. They're bad enough in most action games, why they had to shoehorn that shit into an action/rpg hybrid is a mystery to me.

They tried to do too much and all of it was mediocre.
And I agree with your point about sidequests.

  4. ? Sprinting worked wrong? I mean it was annoying that it wouldn't work out of combat, but how do you mean it didn't work right?

Having to destroy newly found things for old things, and being FORCED (not being able to leave that shit in that box and just open it again later) was the biggest POS ever.
    Agreed.

The PC version is probably going to be amazing.

  5. I have the same issues with Cover/Sprinting, but I hardly ever sprint so it didn't bother me. And since it is not gears, I don't even bother with cover.

thats why i said 80% of these side quests. That one i do remember, that one was cool.

Another thing is yeah like you said in the beggining, enemies would jsut rush and flood in and youd have near zero ability to stop them, sometimes they wouldnt bother covering or anything, a good group of 10 would all rush at you and if your AI worked like it could have it would have made situations like that much easier.

Never did i mention pop up.

I guess i havent played those more horrid inventory systems, cause this game made me go UGH.

Also that bug i got near the end where i couldnt exit the (whatever your ground vehicle was called), exacty where my game decided to autosave = really angry, luckly and somehow i got out of it.

  7. I just found the cover system less forgiving about where you were than it was in Gears, the position was more rigid, I'd agree that it could have used some more tweaking, but for getting up on a wall and shooting around the corner it worked fine.

  8. Cover systems are for pussies, it's useless in Gears too.

We need a genre category for Best Adventure Game (yes, this is still a genre)
