The same thing I've been saying:

baseball games today are too slow.

You can play a game from 20 to 30 min (in 08) by cutting down some of the extraneous animation/plays (like HR celebration). That's not really any longer than playing a 5min period rank game in NHL 09 considering all the start/stops.

Also, for any season/franchise game, you can save at any point and resume so you are not forced to play through an entire game in one sitting.

This is good information, thank you. I still lean towards more faced paced action, but I am tempted to give this a go, despite my anti-sport game philosophy.

You welcome. Since you have a PS3 and like baseball, you should at the very least rent this. You can always play the Road to the Show mode, where you try to bring 1 guy from the minors all the way to the show. It is kinda like baseball rpg (without all the fluff story), in each game, you only play the situations where you are involved (i.e. game skip to your turn to bat or defensive situation), so each game is really short (like 5 to 10 min). It is highly addictive, I played that for the most part in 08.

Uh yeah, still scouting about, cheapest I see right now is 299, I want it in the 200-250 range, but I'll break down if the game comes out first.

do u have a Sony card? Sometimes they give you instant $XXX off if you open a sony card and buy something over $200 or whatever at Sony Store. That's how I got my 60gig PS3 for $350 when they were $500.
