I sort of agree with that. I ended up liking it fine by the end, but I didn't get into it for a long time. The beginning in particular just isn't fun, and it lacks likable characters until later when RDJ, Jay Baruchel, and Alpa Chino get more screen time.

Some parts of this movie were disgustingly unfunny. Tom Cruise dancing and playing hip-hop for no real reason, for example. Overall, there were some good chuckles.

Yeah. I'd say it's 65% unfunny, 10% sort of funny but really retreading the same old Ben Stiller humor, and 25% really fucking hilarious. RDJ is great.
