I think this pic is from a photo shoot she did for a mag. Not sure which one, I've just always loved the picture.
The first movie I remember really noticing her in was Almost Famous. She's just awesome![]()
Yes.
Yes.
No. I tend to avoid movies that otherwise look decent because Clooney's in them. He's just so self-important and smug.
I forgot about Clive Owen, he's up there with Bale and Lemmon for me. I first noticed him in Closer and loved his role as a modern day caveman. I loved the scene where Jude Law is whining to him about betrayals of the heart (Owen fucked his woman after he fucked Owen's woman) and Owen barks "You pussy, have you ever seen a human heart? It looks like a fist covered in blood." Since then he's been awesome in a lot of other stuff, like Children of Men and I'll Sleep When I'm Dead.
I used to watch anything with Walken or Sam Jackson in them but the problem is that Hollywood caught on to the fact that generation X will watch anything with either of them in it. Once Hollywood gets in on something it goes to shit, as evidenced by the craptaculars that get injected with a kooky Walken speech or angry Sam Jackson speech.

Some guys are too famous that I can't believe them in any role. Clooney is one, Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt are too. They are just themselves. I don't know how Leatherheads can possibly work with Jim from the Office competing with Clooney for a woman.
I like Clooney in any old-timey sort of role. For some reason I don't buy him in modern movies but if it's set in olden days (O Brother) or in an old-fashioned style (Intolerable Cruelty) it just works for me. I think he just reminds me of those old 50s and 60s actors or something,
I've been on an Audrey Tautou viewing fest lately. <3
:D
Donk
I'm sick and can hardly think but Bacon mentioning Jeff Bridges has me thinking of Walter in Big Lebowski. Is his RL name John Goodman? That guy rules and I haven't seen him do anything to horrible yet.
