Cross Platform play with Live doesn't exist. If I have to pay for a live account to do it, it is irrelevant to any PC-only gamer.

whys that? the only person to look bad in any cross platform play situation would be MS, as there would be 2 other FREE alternatives.

It's fully and totally about what costs money. MS knows its main selling point is Live and wants to pull in as much money from that as it can. Allowing people who don't pay on the PC or don't pay on the PS3 to play with 360 users who HAVE to pay, well you're just asking for people to bitch and moan and complain. They don't want to deal with that, cause as soon as they do that everyone and their mother is going to be bitching to them about having to pay for live, as they should anyway.
