I'm sure you know this, but black and white people do drugs at about the same amount, but black people are way more likely to get arrested for it.

This morning I saw the episode of Fresh Prince were Will and Carlton are arrested for DWB. It really put everything into perspective.

If blacks didn't get significantly harsher sentences/arrests for similar crimes then maybe we could drop the "stop sending so many blacks to jail". Especially since a bazillion of their arrests are drug related in nature, or gang related. Gang related is of course debatable. The War on Drugs is horse shit. Fixing ALL drug problems is treatment, not punishment.

You can't treat weakness of will.

Lack of documentation and the exorbitant citizenship process is what keep tons of undocumented doing unskilled jobs. They can't advance to anything else and it makes getting education a hell of a lot more difficult. They're coming here anyways despite our laws and enforcements. We might as well quit whining about it like pussies and adapt the system. Make it super easy and actually allow a free market on citizenship instead of crying to the government to protect us from the poor Mexican who's trying to improve his life.

We don't want them if they are unskilled, and it's not our problem to educate or train them. Keep them the fuck out if they're not filling a need. They aren't here for amnesty.

Saying shit like "open the floodgates for more citizens that have nothing to offer in return" is why every one here treats you like a callous racist.

In that context, I'll take callous as a compliment. But, since my standard would apply to British, Irish, German, Italian, etc. immigrants help me with the racist part.

I can think of a few things, just off the top of my head:

- Promote in poor areas fields of study that don't require 4-year degrees and massive loans. Areas such as nursing, for example.
- Offer loan forgiveness in exchange for national service in low income areas for those students who do earn a 4-year degree.
- Build up public libraries and internet labs in poverty-stricken areas so kids can have access to books from an early age.
- Promote and support school libraries while revising and enhance school curriculum in poor schools to include more reading.
- Offer educators in low income areas specialized professional development aimed at teaching and working with kids from poor families. Not all school populations are the same, so there's no reason why all teacher training should be.
- Design and implement two-way bilingual education programs with a 50-50 goal so that immigrant students can ease into English at an acceptable rate and be proficient in the language by the time they reach middle school.

This is just me thinking out loud, but there is a LOT that can be done. No one simply gives a shit.

Most of that is good stuff.

I specifically like the first one. That should be done in more than just poor areas. Dumb fucks would benefit from more vocational training than worthless liberal arts too.
