Going back to asking strangers out/for their phone number, I once randomly asked some girl on the bus out. We got off at the same stop, and I just went up to her and said, "Hi, excuse me. I think you're really attractive and was wondering if you'd like to go out with me sometimes." She smiled and said, "I'd love to." Sometimes it's just that easy. And if you get shot down, who cares. Alot of Asians that I know hang out in specifically Asian groups, went to mostly Asian high schools, and are basically involved in a strictly Asian sub-culture. Some born and raised in America even have that Asian accent. Obviously, there is a bit of strain for them trying to go between the two cultures.

Hey, you just described my high school. I even knew this Asian guy in high school who belonged to the "really popular" Asian clique. He was accepted to one of the U.C.s (University of California) while his friends went to a state college. After a week in college, he nearly broke down because he was without his high school friends and just couldn't make new friends. He eventually transferred out of the U.C. and into the state college to be reunited with his clique.

I think you're using your race as an excuse. I'm Asian and 5'7" in height, and I've never had any problems getting girls. I have three awesome girls who hate my guts right now because I had to turn them down. Just stop being so insecure about yourself.
