  3. Anyone pick up this up? I watched the 93 minute DVD last night and it's better than I thought it would be.

  4. Is it about a new brand of coffee?

  5. It's about how to be funnier when you post on an internet forum. A must read for you.

  6. On snap!

  7. So this has started. Anybody watching? I just caught the second episode and thought it was rather interesting. I like that they're treating the daughter in the cylon's body as if she were one of the head characters in BSG, it adds weight to the blurring of the line between human and artificial life.

Show looks like it won't have the epic drama of BSG, but still tackle some of the same issues like religious extremism, terrorism, the artificial intelligence quandary. Can't tell how well this will be handled yet. I find the Adama family and their Tauron crime family interesting. Bill Adama's father was basically Michael Corleone apparently.

Also, they drive Jaguars on Caprica? wat?

  8. I've found each episode to be fairly boring so far and a poor attempt to link the series to BSG with lines/issues. Taking the Cylon religion and starting it as having been founded (now) by humans as Soldiers of The One which just happens to get passed on to the "living" avatar of a girl who dies and then "she" gets inserted into a test Cylon body... really? Add poorly wedging in the Adamas to the storyline and finish by beating you over the head with references to the BSG series (especially the very last season). Someone should be shot for this poorly written series. Here's my favorite part: how does little boy Adama not remember a single fracking thing about any of this when we meet him 50 years in the future?

Apollo: The Cylons say they believe in the one true god.
Admiral Adama: Really? Those fracking wackos killed my mother and my sister, lets go fuck them up like nobody's business.
Apollo: But father, that's not the right thing to do!
Admiral Adama: Screw right or wrong, I'm personally shoving a nuke up each of their asses for this.

  9. I feel like this show could do something interesting with what they've set up, but it does take a bit of engagement to get past it being... yeah, a little boring. It doesn't grip you by the throat from episode 1 like BSG did.

I am interested to see how Zoe goes from confused girl in robot body to giant army of pissed off Cylons.

  10. Now things get interesting. Best ep so far... still boring so I hope it picks up.
